The concept of Blended Learning is also known as “blended learning”, “hybrid learning”, “mixed learning” in general. In its simplest definition, it is the enrichment of traditional education methods with the help of online education materials and applications. Blended learning is also defined as the use of different education methods in a traditional learning environment as well as the technologies used. (Singh, 2003)

Blended learning; It stands out with its aspects such as access to internet resources, effective communication, flexible configuration, fast feedback, digital portfolio, teaching according to different learning styles, individual learning, and effective and efficient use of learning time. In addition, blended learning applications are developed with models and designs suitable for the target audience, content and context.

Table 1. Dimensions of blending learning

Blending online and offline learning

The main mode of teaching is a learning program where study materials and research resources are provided over the web, while face-to-face lectures are offered.

Blending self-paced and collaborative learning

For example; literature on a regulatory change

reviewed, and then application-controlled, live, online,

can be done collaboratively.

Blending structured and unstructured learning

For example; Conversations, meeting notes, e-mail or documents from unstructured learning activities in a blended program design can be combined with optional repositories of information.

Blending custom content and stock content

SCORM (Shareable Content Object Reference Model) standards open the door to an increasingly flexible blending of ready-to-use and custom content, minimizing cost while improving user experience.
